FFL aims to become the most comprehensive interactive catalogue of film festivals and a stage for filmmakers to benefit from each other's experience and showcase the track record of their films within the film festival circuit.

The festival rating tool is introduced to encourage openness in the involuntarily non-transparent film festival scene. Sure, we all know about the value of Cannes, Sundance or Berlinale, but how about that really committed film festival in south spain, not so well known yet... but just great for boosting socially committed shorts?

We believe that both filmmakers and festivals can substantially improve the reciprocal selection process and that openness and collaboration are the first steps to achieve this. We want to contribute the tools and the environment.
