Mission / description The festival showcases shorts from across the world, creating a physical space for a great audience experience and bringing together a keen audience for the filmmakers. BISFF also exhibits works by past masters who have dabbled in short filmmaking that today is viewed as an art form that needs a unique approach. Additionally, the festival presents talks and panel discussions with leading thinkers and industry practitioners, enabling budding makers to interact with the best in the industry. Animation Competition Section
ny narrative work of Animation fiction with a running time of less than 30 minutes, will qualify in the Animation competition section.The film has to be produced after January 2017 and not submitted to previous BISFF edition. If the film is found to be produced before this term, it will lead to disqualification. Students need to submit scanned/photocopy of their Student id along with the film to get a concession, else will be disqualified. They need send a scan-copy of the valid student id along with BISFF Submission code to bisffblr@gmail.com
Indian Competiton Section
Any narrative work of fiction and Non-Animation with a running time of 30 minutes shot inside and produced in Indian, will qualify in the Indian competition section.The film has to be produced after January 2017 and not submitted to previous BISFF edition. If the film is found to be produced before this term, it will lead to disqualification. Students need to submit scanned/photocopy of their Student id along with the film to get a concession, else will be disqualified. They need send a scan-copy of the valid student id along with BISFF Submission code to bisffblr@gmail.com
International Competition Section

Karnataka Comeptition Section
Any narrative work of fiction and Non-Animation with a running time of 30 minutes or less, shot inside and produced in Karnataka, India and has the below-mentioned languages will qualify in the Karnataka competition section. The languages considered for this are Kannada, Urdu, Tulu, Konkani and Kodava Takk. The film has to be produced after January 2017 and not submitted to previous BISFF edition. If the film is found to be produced before this term, it will lead to disqualification. Students need to submit scanned/photocopy of their Student id along with the film to get a concession, else will be disqualified. They need send a scan-copy of the valid student id along with BISFF Submission code to bisffblr@gmail.com
General rules INSTRUCTIONS
Running Time: 30 minutes or under. No exceptions. Running time includes end credits.
Genre: Only fiction short films are accepted.
Formats: A low quality will be accepted as a screener, but HD quality if selected for screening.
Production Country: All
Submissions will be considered in two categories: Student / Non Student (students should submit a copy of their present identity card/letter from school as proof)
Production Year: The film must have been produced after January 1, 2015 for all competitions. The festival committee will determine the production date of your film based on the copyright year listed in the end credits.
Language: English subtitles are required for all submissions.
