Must relate to Asian American experience. Preference will be given to films that relate to the theme, "Home in America"

The BAAFF 2015 theme is inspired by the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act that came after years of discriminatory restrictions and instead allowed an unprecedented number of immigrants into the country, including many Asians. As this year marks the 50th anniversary of that landmark political shift, BAAFF would like to explore what it means to be "Home in America."

This theme and how it relates to your film is open to interpretation. Some questions to get you started:

What makes America feel like home?
What does home mean to you or to the protagonist in your film?
What is your or your family's immigration story?
Why did you come here and why did you stay, or, why did you leave?

Must be completed in 2010 or later
