We believe this is the future of independent cinema - extremely inexpensive but high-value films that you can create by your own means. Hooked? The 1st Cinema Out of Your Backpack Festival was held on November 9, 2011 at the Caligari Cinema on campus of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Film Academy (Ludwigsburg, Germany). 33 filmmakers from 10 countries have entered the best scene from their narrative or documentary feature. A shortlist has been voted by the online community. Based on this shortlist, the judges have selected the winners which were part of the Screening and Awards Show.
