Clermont-Ferrand it's one of the biggest Short film festivals. I enjoyed the screenings and the quality of the films, especially the experimental section. You have to wait in huge ques before every screening. But there is a really nice vibe from the people. The festival is not so warm to the guests but it has the greatest market. The most impressive thing in Clermont was probably the huge attendance, never seen anywhere else. Every session, every day, the houses were packed, including the main 1.400 seats theatre. Watching my film there was quite an experience. The market works very well, but it is advisable to arrange the appointments in advance, before the festival, otherwise there are few chances to talk to anyone. The festival organizes a public meeting with the press the day after the screening in the main theatre. I missed a bit an official meeting point inside the building, a cafeteria or something. The unofficial meeting point became the brasserie just in front of the festival building, a bit too small. Nice atmosphere, though. Taxis in Clermont just don't work. Big problems at night and the last day day I nearly missed the train: I arranged the pick up at the hotel the day before, and the morning the taxi didn't show up. Be very careful!
