FFL's Festival Validation
FFL feels responsible for only allowing legitimate and relevant festivals to accept submissions through our platform. Thus we verify the festival's legitimacy and relevance before pushing the call for submissions live. Some festivals are not being allowed to accept submissions at all. For festivals allowed to accept submissions FFL separates among:
VALIDATED FESTIVALS
These festivals fully comply with FFL's festival validation policy. There is no doubt that they are established and/or legitimate events.
NOT VALIDATED FESTIVALS
These festivals don't fully comply with FFL's festival validation policy but appear to be legitimate events. We will leave you to decide whether you should submit to this event or not. We also welcome any feedback about these events. You can report your experience at verification@filmfestivallife.com

Mission / description
Contact – International Student Film Festival is a short film festival organized by the joint collaboration of the Faculty of Communication and Faculty of Arts and Design at Ya?ar Uni…versity (Izmir, Turkey).
In its first pilot edition of the festival in October 2014 , we have been teaming up with some of the most prestigious film schools around the world (among others, London Film School, FAMU, Lodz Film School) to present a non-competitive showcase of the current student film productions from Europe and beyond.
The 2nd edition of Contact (19-23 October 2015) will bring once more to Izmir the best films by the next generation of filmmakers, inaugurating a new international competition section. We invite all current students of film and media and students that will graduate in the academic year 2014-2015 to submit their films. Here at Contact we are interested in your stories and the way cinema can convey them: that’s why the main competition will accept a mix of fiction, documentary and animation films, without distinctions of genre. An out-of-competition programme will feature screenings and masterclasses by international guests and film schools, special presentation and exhibitions, workshops and talks.
