Mission / description Dungog Festival is a regional festival in New South Wales, Australia, surrounded by wine country and the stunning world-heritage listed rainforests of the Barrington Tops. Dungog is an ideal destination for food, film and fresh air this coming October.

Amongst a varied arts and entertainment program, it features a strong film program of new releases and remastered classics, both fiction and documentary, plus a growing SHORT FILM COMPETITION for AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL Films with a prize pool of AUD$30,000.

Prizes for Australian films include Best Short Film (fiction), Best Short Film (Documentary), Best Youth Short Film (student), Best Youth Short Film (non-student), Best Local Short Film, Best Music Video and more, as well prizes for Best International Short Film, Best Director and many more!

Submissions are now open for Australian and International Films so please enter your short and be in the running!

We are also accepting submissions for the LONG-FORM PROGRAMME. Films should be over 30 minutes in length, fiction, documentary, hybrid, animation etc. of any genre, but films with a food or fresh air focus are particularly welcome.
