Mission / description • The Edinburgh Short Film Festival aims to provide a platform where high quality films made by talented film-makers can be screened alongside the best Scottish, UK and International short films.

• To provide opportunities to connect the Edinburgh-based film-making community and UK and International film-makers through networking and joint, collaborative projects.

• To provide an opportunity for the general public to experience the best work in contemporary short film.

• To build an audience for the work of locally-based short film makers.

• Increase opportunities for locally-based film-makers.

• To develop links with partner film festivals to provide further screening opportunities for film-makers, develop exchange projects and create cross-promotional and audience development opportunities.

• Carry out more outreach work in communities across Edinburgh and Scotland and participate in and promote industry events.

The entrant agrees to the use of materials from the submitted film for promotional purposes and that the film can be exhibited for the duration of the festival and at other screenings that the Festival may hold in the UK and overseas.
