Mission / description The Indy Film Fest exists to celebrate the art of cinema. We are persistent in our quest for the best the industry has to offer from home and abroad. We are dedicated to fostering new talent and helping filmmakers connect with the global industry. We are also dedicated to educating and developing audiences for international and independent cinema in Indianapolis, screening the kind of innovative, visionary work that may not normally achieve distribution in this area.

The Indy Film Fest began as the three-day Indianapolis International Film Festival in March 2004. The 2017 festival screened to our largest audiences yet, featuring films from Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, Berlin and beyond. For 2019, Indy Film Fest once again plans to present one of the finest festival-going experiences in the region and moves back to spring!
