Mission / description The Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival brings together the world’s best natural history broadcasters, producers and filmmakers and other industry professionals with leading scientists, journalists, and conservationists, for one remarkable week each autumn. They gather from around the world in the heart of Grand Teton National Park to explore new media technologies and emerging market opportunities, exchange ideas, and honor notable achievements that have been made in environmental conservation and media.

Since its modest beginning in 1991, the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival has grown to be the premier international film festival of the genre. We expect approximately 650 delegates to join us at Jackson Lake Lodge, which will be transformed into a high tech media village including a 3D digital cinema theater and a 50-seat full dome installation.

Festival delegates range from high level executives in the world’s largest natural history production, commissioning and programming companies to independent filmmakers, museum curators, conservation leaders, philanthropists and scientists—all of whom share a love for the natural world and a commitment to fostering its appreciation and preservation through media and personal involvement.

Of course, one of the best attributes of the Festival is our location in the shadow of the Tetons, just a short drive from Yellowstone National Park--a setting of unparalleled natural beauty and wildlife. Join us in October in the beginning days of autumn, when Jackson Hole is at its blazing finest as the animals and landscape begin their transition toward the inevitability of winter.
