FFL feels responsible for only allowing legitimate and relevant festivals to accept submissions through our platform. Thus we verify the festival's legitimacy and relevance before pushing the call for submissions live. Some festivals are not being allowed to accept submissions at all. For festivals allowed to accept submissions FFL separates among:
VALIDATED FESTIVALS
These festivals fully comply with FFL's festival validation policy. There is no doubt that they are established and/or legitimate events.
NOT VALIDATED FESTIVALS
These festivals don't fully comply with FFL's festival validation policy but appear to be legitimate events. We will leave you to decide whether you should submit to this event or not. We also welcome any feedback about these events. You can report your experience at verification@filmfestivallife.com

Mission / description
The only Latin American Film Festival with “A” status was conceived in 1954 due to the need to reflect the Argentinean Cinema universe, as well as the international cinematographic …scenario. Year after year, the Festival established itself as a vital exhibition of the development and exchange of the film industry and audiovisual arts. Mar del Plata International Film Festival is today a must for filmmakers, actors, producers, distributors and film lovers.
The 31st Festival is organized by the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts, INCAA, and it is accredited by the Fédération International des Associations des Producteurs de Films (FIAPF). The goal of the Festival, given its international nature, is to show a substantial and assorted number of foreign feature films and to welcome their corresponding delegates, thus contributing to the development of culture and international film industry and its promotion in Latin America. In addition, the Festival is intended to serve as a springboard for the local film industry that, after over a century, is heading towards artistic and technical renewal.
