CINE@ART-PELOPONNESSIAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is a non- profit cultural Organization, with a Competition section. Its innovation lies on the creation of theme sections about "Bridges" on the screening program, aiming to demonstrate Peloponnese's geopolitical and historical relation to the rest of Greece, as well as the rest of the world, and especially the significant role of Corinth's isthmus to its unification with the rest of Greece. It is this unification that creates an intercultural bridge to connect Greece with the rest of the world. A background set to correspond to the city's primordial essence, its modern one, assists festival's programme to establish a creative line which rises over any potential obstacle: language, race, culture, religion, ideology. Upcoming directors' innovative, enthusiastic flow is met with well acclaimed film industry professionals' experience as well as their aesthetic criteria, evolved through time and interfering with the art of cinema. The festival's jury in past organizations was consisted of such people.

An institution in open dialogue with other artistically creative forces of cinema and their organisers, like Peloponnesian International Film Festival, could not do otherwise but expand its communication with other film festivals. A special union is being created this way between the organisers and their efforts and hopes for a solid cultural result expanding in a wide range. Directors who have participated in Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Youth, Athens, Patras, Ecofilms, Drama and Cyprus International Film Festival have submitted their films also in Peloponnese Film Festival, in the form of a joint venture among all festivals. A unique bond is created this way.

Pegasus Award

Pegasus, in ancient Greek mythology was thought to be the horse of Muses, which the poets rid and flew to stardom. This is the reason why "Golden Pegasus" Award is given to a feature length film distinguished for its artistic value and its ability to "travel" and succeed in other film festivals.
