Mission / description The 2016 Portland Music Video Festival will be held in the historic Hollywood Theater on Thursday, March 10th. The Hollywood Theater is Portland’s grandest movie house, a nonprofit theater showcasing some of the most innovative film programming in the United States. This will be the third year of the festival. Previous editions of the festival have included videos by artists like Cypress Hill, Gaslamp Killer, Passion Pit, Mean Jeans, Dita Von Teese, Bob Mould, Broken Bells, Sallie Ford, Lost Lander, Helio Sequence, Kimya Dawson, Aesop Rock, as well as dozens of other independent artists and bands. The festival was founded by professor, author and filmmaker Dustin Morrow, and is programmed by Morrow and Portland-based artist and production designer Kat Audick.

Festival events will include a full-bar networking event for filmmakers and musicians; screenings of local, national and international music videos; and a Q&A with available filmmakers and musicians. Events will begin at 7:00pm.
