General rules Rural FilmFest is celebrating this year 2016 its fourth edition.

Regulations

To participate:
You have a short film and you are of age.
No matter where you come from. The Festival is open to filmmakers from all over the world.
You can submit as many films as you wish.
The short films must have been made from the 1st January 2014 till the deadline for registration, and it is not a problem if they have been previously screened, shown on the Internet or in other festivals.
The films may be in Spanish, or in any other language with Spanish subtitles. For the selection process are not necessary Spanish subtitles but if your film is selected we will ask you Spanish subtitles for the public screening.
The organization can use pieces from the selected films (10% maximum) to promote them and the festival.
Selected short films of Rural Film Fest 2016 will become part of "The Week FilmFestival" besides being able to participate in any of the activities constituting Rural FilmFest.

Competition Categories:
- EcoFilms: Fiction, animation and documentary short films, in which the central theme is related to ecology, nature and everything that has to do with the rural world.
- RuralFicción: Short films free themed.
- Quijote Film: Short free theme from authors born or residents in the autonomy of Castilla-La -Mancha (Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara and Toledo). The organization reserves the right to request documentation for verification.
- Bizarre Section: Audiovisual extreme Thematic.

Running time:
The short films may not run over 15 minutes, except for documentaries, as they can run up to 25'.

Format:
All of the submitted films can participate, no matter the format. The screening will be from a 1080p digital file (participants will be informed about the format needed for the screening with time enough).

Jury & Awards:
The short films will be selected by the organization.
A jury composed of professionals from the media and the cinematographic sector, and of experts in specific fields will give the following awards:

Best EcoFilm Short film Award. Cave-art Deer + Basket products of the land + Weekend pack including accommodation and a mountain walk.

Best RuralFicción Short film Award. Cave-art Deer + Basket products of the land + Weekend pack including accommodation and a mountain walk.

“Campos de la Pastora” Award (audience award). Cave-art Deer + Basket products of the land + Weekend pack including accommodation and a mountain walk.

Best Quijote Film. Cave-art Deer + Basket products of the land + Weekend pack including accommodation and a mountain walk.

Awards may change depending on the final budget obtained by RFF.

The organization reserves the right to accept a short film, if it is not sent within the registration period together with all the necessary documents.

Once the short films have been received, and until the deadline, the organization will select those taking part in the competition and will inform the selected participants before the 27/05/2016.

Registration implies acceptance of all the regulations. Any other issue which is not included here will be sorted by the FRFF 2016 organization.
