This student film festival has something special: The script pitch contest and the public readings of feature film screenplay exerpts by professional actors. I used to come to that festival and just watch the programs, but then I discovered these extra events with great pleasure. While it officially calls itself Stundent AND Amateur film festival, I have not seen many author films here. None of my award winning babies have been accepted, probably due to high numbers in submissions and different tastes or targent audiences. The Film University that hosts the festival is surrounded by studios, sound stages, TV stations and a Film Park. So networking might happen here a lot. This year I also enjoyed the design of the festival with an airport theme, done by Sebastian Demuß, who once built the fantastic sets of one of our music videos. Dave Around 3 years ago

From filmmakers, for filmmakers. Students from the established film and tv university HFF in Babelsberg organize this festival every year. For all upcoming filmmakers a really good and must have festival to show their first films. Easy to meet young and enthusiastic filmmakers from all over the world. Great workshops, panels and side events, not forget to mention the parties. Really open minded and relaxed atmosphere. Nadine Around 6 years ago
