Anne-Marie Creamer is a British artist. based in London. She was a painter for some time before moving towards the moving image, at first via animations often made in central Europe, and in the past 10 years towards digital film. Her work is generally presented in galleries and museums in Europe and internationally. Anne-Marie is interested in presence and the ideas which underlay this. Her films often feature highly scripted narratives and overlooked histories, which can be melancholic but wry, corporeal, often intense. She is interested in ‘cinema’ in its broadest sense and often experiments with ways to convey this by working across theatre, painting and cinema. ‘Treatment for Six Characters’ marks her first foray into film festivals. full text less text
