Kyle William McDonnell is an accomplished writer, director and editor, who wears his distinctive brand of “outback gothic” proudly on his sleeve. Currently in his final year of a Bachelor of Arts (Screen Production) at the Australian Film Television and Radio School, he is driven by a passion for creating bold “Aussie” content which explores the relationship between people and place. He has helped raise awareness for mental health in his collaborations with Fiona Wright and Lifeline Australia; while also finding time to direct two period shorts set in colonial Australia. He is currently in development of a psychological thriller feature which will be the first of its kind to use Auslan (Australian Sign Language). full text less text
