Roberto Barbery Mier is an actor, writer and director originally from La Paz, Bolivia. He has previously studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York (2002-2005). In 2005 he lands his film debut as an actor, playing a co protagonist role in the film American Visa (Bolivia/Mexico, 2005). In 2007 he won the best actor award for the short film, Hueco, at the Fenavid International Film Festival of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. He studied photography at Centro de la Imagen in Lima, Peru (2010-2011). In 2013, he plays a small role in the feature film, Cuando los Hombres Quedan Solos (Bolivia). In 2016 his short story, Chicas G, is published by OOMPH´s literary journal´s first book, "Contemporary Works in Translation: A Multilingual Anthology (Vol. 1). He worked in the Programming of Artistic Content and Activities for the festival Kidzapalooza (a festival/event for children that takes place within the music festival Lollapalooza), where he also worked as a Production Assistant, organizing the human and technical resources for the event, before and during (2015-2017).
