Luca Alverdi is a film editor, screenplay writer and producer born in Milan (Italy) in 1965, with more than 30 years of carrer. He has edited many TV commercials for the European, African and Middle Eastern markets, as well as documentaries, institutional films, music vídeos and short films for Cinema and Television. Alongside director Marina Spada, he worked with the renown artist Arnaldo Pomodoro, and with the italian photographer Gabriele Basilico. In 2007 he edited the award winning Brazilian feature film “Estômago: A Gastronomic Story”, directed by Marcos Jorge. The same year, he won the Best Editing Award at the fifth edition of the IBRACINE (Ibero Brazil Cine Festival) for the movie “The Art of Stealing”, directed by Leonel Vieira. In 2012 he edited the epic war film “Lines of Wellington”, directed by Valeria Sarmiento, which was in competition for the Golden Lion at the 69th Venice International Film Festival. In 2015 he has been the editor, the screenplay co-writer and the co-producer of the documentary film “Central”, directed by Tatiana Sager and Renato Dorneles, which won the Best Documentary Award in the 2016 edition of FESTin - Portuguese Language Film Festival. full text less text
